Figurados and double figurados
A figurado is an irregularly shaped cigar pointed at one end, like a torpedo. The classic double figurado is pointed at both ends. It appears to be growing in popularity in Britain, perhaps because it looks and feels different, and is very tactile. It's based on a cigar design that was very popular in Victorian times. The signs are that the figurado and double figurado are pointing in the right direction – straight into the humidors of aficionados who want a short, squat, relatively quick to smoke, premium cigar. The way things are going, it could become the perfect seasonal smoke, i.e. one to enjoy outdoors in fine weather when you want something a bit more demanding than a mini or a whiff.
