Wintermans celebrate 100 years

Guests from across the world gathered in Maastricht recently to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Henri Wintermans making cigars.

Retailers, journalists, suppliers and company employees from as far away as Australia, Iceland and Canada spent three days celebrating the centenary, which also coincided with the 60th anniversary of the founding of Henri Wintermans' independent company.

Events included a huge drinks reception, a formal dinner, sight-seeing tours and a large conference which looked back at the life of Henri Winterman and addressed the future for the company.

The company took the opportunity to unveil a new logo and design for the company's products and tackled thorny issues such as future restrictions on advertising.
