Habanos Limited Editions 2005

Hunters & Frankau has received the UK’s first consignment of the new Limited Edition 2005 sizes from Habanos SA. They are as follows:

• H. Upmann Magnum 50
6 1/2” x 50 ring gauge /box of 25
RRP £18.50 per cigar

• Romeo y Julieta Petit Piramides
5” x 50 ring gauge/Box of 25
RRP £14.00 per cigar

• Montecristo D
6 3/4” x 43 ring gauge/Box of 10 -
£15.25 per cigar

For the first time since Limited Editions were introduced in 2000, H. Upmann is represented with H. Upmann Magnum 50 (previously reserved for Cohiba, Montecristo, R&J, Hoyo and Partagas).

As with all previous Limited Editions, the sizes are not found in the standard range of each brand and the cigars are double banded.

Each cigar is also dressed using wrapper leaves selected from the upper levels of shade grown plants which are younger, thicker and full of oils. They naturally produce darker colours after curing and their thickness demands that they should be fermented longer, which further enriches the colour.

They are then aged for two years before being used to dress Limited Edition cigars (nine months is the usual time needed for Habanos).
