Nottingham successIndependent tobacco specialists proved there was still plenty to smile about despite the threat of antismoking legislation as they held their 25th annual trade fair and followed it with a glitzy dinner.Exhibitors from across Britain were joined by some European companies at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham for an exhibition which featured cigars, lighters, pipes and a wide range of related accessories and merchandise aimed at cigar smokers. Highlights of the exhibition included the presence of Sarome UK, a new company set up to market the highly regarded range of Sarome Japanese lighters, some stunning new cigars from Davidoff, including the stylish Zino Mouton Cadet, and a whole range of new products from across the world and unveiled by Loretta Cigars, including the stylish long filler hand-made cigars from C.A.O of Nicaragua. The speaker at the evening’s grand dinner, held within the test cricket ground, was English cricketing legend Fred Truman.
