Welcome to Cigar Buyer, the new magazine for and about the UK cigar trade.

Welcome to Cigar Buyer, the new magazine for and about the UK cigar trade. The cigar business is buoyant - in news you will see new shops opening, tastings is filled with product launches, and new cigar bars open monthly. Whether you are a retailer, run a bar, produce or import cigars or carry cigars as one of the many products in your range, we hope Cigar Buyer will have something for you.

Scotland may soon have the first smoke free city in the UK. Advertising brands to the consumer is no longer possible. And yet we feel it is timely to create Cigar Buyer, a magazine dedicated to the UK cigar trade. This doesn’t just reflect our enthusiasm for the subject but a fundamental belief that the UK trade merits a publication celebrating one of the finest products in the world.

Cigar sales, whether the lower volume, higher margin brands or the much larger quantities of smaller sizes, bring profits to your business.

Throughout Cigar Buyer we hope to bring you ideas and information to grow your sales and profits.

Our aims are to celebrate cigars, provide essential information on how best to present and market the products and how to improve your business through cigars.

Our first CityWatch pages explore London, and the Whisky & Cigar Challenge shows the wonderful combinations that can increase sales across the board. One hundred years ago Henri Wintermans created his first cigar, and 40 years ago Hamlet burst on to the UK stage.

So this is a year of celebration as well as change, and Cigar Buyer hopes to keep apace in its two editions for 2004.
